We tested it and got speeds ranging from 125 mbps and higher, which is remarkable! The unit comes with up to 5 USB or TeraDek node modems, which you can buy as needed. The nodes adapt to changing technologies so the cost of keeping the unit up-to-date is lower as nodes are modular and lower in cost than the unit. It comes with high gain antennas, and a gold or v-mount battery option which you can purchase as per your requirements.
Not only is the unit flawless but it is also easy to handle and organize. It comes with integrated locking cables so even if the backpack containing the unit is thrown across the room, your cables are secure and organized. The unit comes with active cooling so the gear runs smoothly, and you can even add on mounting gear for easier set-up. For the tech gurus out there, how does it work? The TeraDek Bond has an encoder that lets us take a signal through HDMI or SDI and we can then broadcast is to YouTube, Facebook Live, Vimeo and any type of streaming service. The TeraDek Bond pairs the unit with the network management interface. Each node has its own hotspot or Wi-Fi connection through a SIM card which collaborates to one cellular network, or you can have two nodes on the same network for a signal that is twice as strong. Compatible with 3G, 4G and LTE, we can stream data based on local cellular signals and we can also connect each node to a different carrier company to minimize risk. The device is intelligent enough to take any number of cellular network connections and merge them to build a stronger network, a truly failsafe network!

Our Tips
A few things to keep in mind are that the unit needs to be configured in advance to your specific event, to ensure the connections are put in place as opposed to doing it onsite. Also, bandwidth is finite so if you are relying on certain connections for an event stream, then the bandwidth gets adjusted for new speakers or changes. Be prepared as you may run low on resources.
